Rusty bought this Mustang from Hubert Platt in late 1970 and started campaigning it in 1971 to compete in SS/GA. What started life as a Boss 302 was now powered by a 428 CJ. Winning his class at the 1972 Winternationals and consistently running under the index until 1975 when NHRA made some rule changes taking away the cars ability to be competitive. The car was retired until the late 90’s and then restored back to original in 2004.
